The previous chapters have dealt with the dissemination of hypermedia information on the Web and the role of Hyper-G. Chapter 10 has dealt with the intrinsic details of Hyper-G's server architecture. This chapter primarily focuses on the architecture of gateways to third-party servers, including SQL servers and other online systems such as Videotex. This chapter assumes at least some familiarity with SQL queries and databases.
