Automated hypermedia authoring and offline database manipulation tools are the main topics covered in this chapter. Data conversion tools and scripting are described and a practical example is given of an insertion script written in Perl. For mirroring and backup purposes the HIF tools are useful. These utilities and the replicate feature are explained in detail in the last section of this chapter.
