29 Some Web applications based on Hyper-G

Hermann Maurer, Robert Stubenrauch

In this chapter we discuss some application areas (training, conference support, virtual communities, general information systems, entertainment and gambling) that seem particularly appropriate to be supported by modern second-generation hypermedia systems such as Hyper-G. For each area we give a short introduction and a motivation for using hypermedia solutions. We report actual instances of concrete Hyper-G realizations and discuss some of the specific issues regarding design and implementation inherent to the domains.
