18.4 Standalone viewers

The distribution of Amadeus contains two of the internal viewers in standalone form: the PostScript and VRML viewers. You can export documents and the related intra-document links to your local storage. When you look at the document locally, links are displayed and can be followed. Before you can access the latter feature you have to export the links.

The following is a brief outline of how to do it:

  1. Start Amadeus and navigate to a PostScript or VRML document.
  2. Activate the viewer window and select the Save As menu item.
  3. Enter the path and the filename to which the document should be saved.
  4. Activate the Save Anchors menu item and enter the same path and filename as in the previous step.

After this you will have produced one file containing the data (with the extension .ps for PostScript or .wrl for VRML) and another containing the links (.hgl for Hyper-G links).
