24.5 Managing Hyper-G attributes

Attributes are additional information stored logically for each object in the Hyper-G database. You can change some, but not all of them. For instance, the unique name of a collection cannot be changed, but its title can. Please see Chapter 11 and Appendix E.1.

Whenever you want to view, change or add attributes to a Hyper-G object, just select the Properties menu item or the context-sensitive menu activated with the right mouse button. Then you see a dialog similar to Figure 24.9. To modify an attribute, mark it with a single mouse click and press the Modify button. If you want to add a new attribute, press the Add New button. Another dialog appears: the Add/Modify Attribute dialog, see Figure 24.9. Select the type of the attribute and enter a value in the appropriate field. The deletion of an attribute works analogously.

Normally you will use presentation hints, sequence numbers and access rights quite frequently. Hint: Do not forget to identify yourself to gain access rights for any changes!
